Using Studio to Search for Tile Information

In this article, you will learn how to effectively use EarthStudio to search for tile information in a target area. Follow the steps below to get started:




Select Your Target Region

When you enter OpenEarth Studio, you’ll see the MapViewer (Create New Task) on the left and your task history on the right. To define the area you'd like to download:

  1. Search for a location

  2. Draw and adjust your bounding box (BBOX)

  3. Click the “Check Area” button

Search for a location: Click the search icon in the top-right corner and type in a city name or place, e.g., “New York.” Press Enter. Select a search result: Choose from the result list to auto-navigate the map to that location.

Draw and adjust your bounding box (BBOX): Drag to move or resize the transparent selection rectangle over your target region.

Click the “Check Area” button to Google Earh ensure this Area Have 3D MeshData.

Once Your Region Is Defined

Then click the “Search” button to the selected region.

When Search Completed. The system will calculate how many 3D tiles exist in the current area and display the tile count.

⚠️ Notes:

  • Larger areas may require more time to search and cost more tile credits.

  • We recommend starting with a smaller area if you’re using the platform for the first time.

  • Once the search completes, the system will display how many 3D tiles are available in the current area.
